Homestay with Canadian families provides international students with many opportunities to practice English, make new friends and experience Canadian culture. Staff at VSIC believe that homestay should be one of the most important aspects of a student's ESL experience. Therefore, the carefully consider each student's needs when choosing host families.
VSIC homestay provides safe, secure and comfortable environments that compliment and enrich ESL learning. English speaking host families provide students with many opportunities to practice and perfect their language abilities through conversation and other activities. Additionally, each student placed in a convenient residential location that is easily accessible by public transit and in close proximity to the school, downtown Vancouver and other destinations like shopping malls, cinemas and cafes. Furthermore, each family provides access to telephone, television and shared laundry facilities and a quiet, private place to study.
